The Dress As The Main Consideration In Wedding Planning 

Wedding planning for the future brides is all about the wedding dress; how soon can she say yes, to the dress. 

If you are like most brides, your wedding dress must take center stage in any wedding planning process. The search for the perfect dress should start as soon as possible. This article will cover a few things to consider before heading to the dress store.

Researching Gowns: Let’s begin by searching the web for wedding gowns; also, pay close attention to the different colors, styles, which designer, terminology, costs, and is this dress available all year round. There are many styles of wedding gowns such as Ballgown, A-Line Modified A-line, Trumpet, Mermaid, Sheath, tea length, and mini, to name a few. Your body type will determine which style will suit you best; for example, the Ballgown fitted bodice and a full skirt automatically make you feel like a princess. A petite bride will feel overwhelmed entirely, and thus, a different style will suffice for her. Look at magazines, visit the website of designers to get more inspiration. You may also want to use the service of a seamstress who can custom make your gown to your specification. Keep in mind that depending on the dress of interest; it may take months to order; those are some factors to consider.

Plan your budget: Before setting your foot in any bridal store, let us discuss your gown’s budget. If you don’t allocate a set amount towards your dress, you will pay more than you should. Remember, you are only at the beginning of the wedding planning stage. Although the wedding dress is a big part of the event, bear in mind that there are other elements that you need to pay and buy for the big day, so don’t splurge when shopping for your wedding dress.

Dress Shopping: Call ahead to your local bridal shop and set up a fitting. Dress shopping is essential, and with that said, let me encourage you to only permit two-person with you for the fitting. It is not wise to take your whole bridal party to your fitting. I promised you it would be the most stressful event in the planning process. Everyone has options, and most of the comments will overwhelm you. The dress shop will assign you a consultant who will ask you questions and get your measurement before you can try on dresses. Also, be prepared, know what you are looking for, bring a pair of shoes, a strapless bra, put your hygiene in check, and wear clean undergarments.  

 Say, Yes to the dress:  Ladies, stop researching dresses after you decide on a dress. If you continue to dress shop, trust me, you will find something else that will increase your budget, not to mention the time it will take for the dress to arrive.
