_MG_9621 - Copy (2)Brides against Breast Cancer hosted their nationwide tour of gown sales on January 26, 2014 at the
Marriott West Palm Beach.

What an exciting event it was for me. Brides against Breast Cancer is making a positive change in the
lives of cancer patients, their families, and caregivers by touring the country selling hundreds of new, name brand and designer gowns, as well as lovingly worn gowns in various styles and sizes. Gown
prices range from $99 to $799 with the option of layaway.

Proceeds from each event enable Brides against Breast Cancer to provide wellness and educational services to those affected by breast cancer.

The organization receives bridal gown donations from designers, manufacturers, bridal shops, and individuals worldwide. At the event I attended, brides were treated like VIPs, and the joy, tears, and excitement were seen on the faces of brides as they said yes to that perfect dress. There  were several beautiful dresses from which to choose. The atmosphere was fun, upbeat and exciting. There is nothing
like wedding dress shopping!

Breast cancer is a disease that is sweeping the nation. My sister lost her battle against cancer in 2013. Many of the vendors, sponsors and brides have been impacted by, or know someone, impacted by this disease. I spoke with Sean  Michael of Sean Michael Photography; he told me his father lost his battle to cancer. Sean has participated in several bridal shows over the years but this one is special, it is an opportunity to give and bring awareness to a disease that is affecting so many.

The Perfect Face by Laurie transformed the faces of brides; she too has family members who have been affected by cancer. This was Laurie’s first, but not her last, bridal show. Photographer Flavio DeMoura of Flavio Studios captured the moment, while DJ Ed Meade from Class Act Productions and Entertainment kept the event fun and entertaining.
Approximately 65 brides attended with 21 dresses sold. The next nationwide tour of gown sales will be click here for list of dates
