Finally, choose a venue that has Eco-friendly policies and procedures in place.

Wedding Stationery:

Purchase Wedding Stationery made of Tree-Free or Recycled paper. Print invitations using soy-based ink. Another form of inviting guests is Evite and word of mouth for an informal event.

Organic is key! Many catering companies offer a wide selection of organic dishes. Consider using a caterer whose supplies are organic and locally grown.

When in doubt, use a designer who can source organic, fair trade, natural materials with no chemicals.

Décor sets the ambiance of any event. Most florists are now offering organic flowers. Consider using organic in-season flowers that are locally grown. Along with flowers, bamboo is an alternative to enhance the décor theme. Consider using candles made of bee’s wax or soybean wax. Ask your florist to incorporate used or old recycled containers for floral arrangements. Finally, consider using silk flowers; Silk flowers are reusable and last a long time.
